Building an Oarling Dory



Welcome to the photography gallery site of Galen Piehl - www.galenpics.com.

While I shoot mostly landscape photography, I also keep journals of different projects such as this wooden boat building project - Building an Oarling Dory.

I use to carry around an impressive backpack of professional camera equipment and a huge tripod. But after a while I realized I had a sore back and wanted to simplify.




So now I have a unique little digital camera called a Pentax Lumix LX-2. It is unique because it shoots true wide format images and has a wide angle lens. It also has image stabilization, so I no longer use a tripod!



So check back and and explore the albums as I build them. My wife and I go on many tropical snorkeling vacations so there will be many of those types of images in the future.
